There is a difference between God, the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
True and False Disciples
Jesus says: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’” -Matthew 7:20-23
“Teacher,” said John, “we saw someone driving out demons in your name and we told him to stop, because he was not one of us.” -Mark 9:38
“You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.” -Acts 3:15-16
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” -Romans 12:6-8
“There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work. Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.” -1 Corinthians 12:6-11
Plain and Simple …. Casting out demons, healing the sick, prophesying all in the ‘Name’ Of Jesus Christ is a gift of the Holy Spirit; however, Gifts of the Holy Spirit is not Jesus Christ himself. Jesus says it is only those who do the will of my Father in heaven who will enter the kingdom of heaven. Wasn’t casting out demons by the power of God-Jesus-Heaven, doing the will of The Father? Yet Jesus said “I never knew you” then on top of that called them an “evil-doer”!
“When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to.” -Acts 16:7
“And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.” -Romans 8:9
“Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and God’s provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance.” -Philippians 1:18-19
Anyone can pray to God and have their prayers answered. Anyone can apply God’s Word & Way in the Holy Bible and reap positive benefits. And while Jesus is OF the trinity of GOD, Jesus is “individual” too. To think because you have “God” (Gifts of the Holy Spirit) playing out in your life that thereby you also have Jesus too is thinking in error. You must be “yoked” (grafted-in) to “Jesus” personally (as in, the Jesus part of GOD/trinity). Without Jesus personally, spiritually, in wholeness, the trinity of God is incomplete. There is GOD then there is God-Jesus.
There is a difference between using the ‘name’ of Jesus with the power that comes in using “the name” of Jesus, from Jesus Christ himself.
Operating the Gifts of the Holy Spirit or having the Holy Spirit “alone” will not get you into heaven.
There are two different types of “disciples” the TRUE and the FALSE; both can have the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
It is not that you know Jesus but rather HE knows you!
