Highway 261 is about a 30 mile stretch between Highway 95 and Highway 163, southeast in Utah. It is not for RVs! -or for vehicles towing. The first 10 miles seem like a normal highway, but after that the road became a gravel road and got real windy. I started from the top (north going south); top of a very steep canyon! So the road had to wind (curve) to get down the canyon safely, and it became a single lane road. At the bottom was the Valley Of The Gods canyon monument drive through.
Here is a picture at the bottom of the canyon. So if you were traveling South to North, this is what you’d see. There is actually a roadway on that canyon (the edge of it) taking you top to bottom, bottom to top!
